US Amazon Prime members spend about twice as much as non-members. The principal reason is that Prime members shop at Amazon.com much more frequently than non-members.

US Amazon Prime members consistently spend more than customers that do not have a Prime membership. In the most recent year, Prime members spent about $1,100 per year, compared to about $500 per year for non-prime customers (Chart 1).
